This consultation has now concluded.

We're asking for your views on the proposal to replace the existing 2 hour limited waiting bays Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm on the east side of the B4017 Bath Street (from the junction with Letcombe Avenue to the Bath Street access path) with shared ‘2 hour limited waiting bays, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm or Permit holders’.

Residents at the following properties will be eligible to park in the dual-purpose bays if vehicles display a valid residents parking permit:

  • B4017 Bath Street – East side: Nos.39 to 61a (inclusive), West side: Nos.54-64 (inclusive),
  • Bath Court (off of B4017 Bath Street) – all properties,
  • Bath Street – East side: Nos.63 to 77 (inclusive),
  • Gosling Court (off of B4017 Bath Street) – all properties,
  • Yew Tree Mews – all properties.

The proposals are being put forward to help better manage the demand for short stay and residential parking on Bath Street, as well as to supplement a previously approved scheme (click here for details) to introduce an advisory cycle lane in conjunction with “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions (double yellow lines) in part of Bath Street.

Have your say.

Please read the detailed information provided on this consultation and take the time to complete the survey as your views and opinions matter. Your response should be completed and returned by 5pm on Friday 18 October 2024.

Whilst we will endeavor to answer simple queries during the course of the consultation, any more complex questions/issues will be appraised and dealt with as part of consultation process.

What happens next?

The County Council will review the responses and if necessary (i.e. if objections are received) prepare a report to be presented to the Cabinet Member for Highway Management at a meeting scheduled for later in 2024. This will be public meeting at which members of the public may apply to speak. The agenda and reports for meetings will be made available on the Oxfordshire County Council web site about a week before the meeting (please note that occasionally it is necessary to defer reports to a later meeting, and it is therefore advisable to check the agenda ahead of attending a meeting). The Forward Plan of decisions meetings can be viewed here.
