SEND Oxfordshire Conversations for parents and carers (March 2024)

Join us and our partners at one of our special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) Oxfordshire Conversations events on:

• Tuesday 19 March 2024, 12 noon - 1.30 pm
• Tuesday 19 March 2024, 7.30 pm - 9 pm

These are online events, bringing together parents and carers of children and young people with SEND across Oxfordshire and representatives from the SEND local area partnership, including the county council, NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board and the Oxfordshire Parent Carers Forum.

These events are open to all parents and carers in Oxfordshire, but you need to book so we can understand any additional needs you have and email you the joining instructions.

About the SEND Oxfordshire Conversations

These events are a new initiative and we plan to hold them on a termly basis. The first two events will be hosted by Lisa Lyons, Director of Children’s Services at Oxfordshire County Council.

At the events we will:

• Introduce you to senior leaders on the SEND Strategic Improvement and Assurance Board.
• Give an update on progress we are making to improve SEND services and our priority action plan.
• Share how we plan to inform, involve and listen to families in an active and inclusive way.

Throughout the events there will be opportunities for you to ask questions and provide feedback.

We also want to get your specific feedback on the future format for these SEND Oxfordshire conversations to make sure we get them right for you.
