We will be installing public electric vehicle (EV) charging across Oxfordshire on an ongoing basis to help residents make the transition to driving electric vehicles.

This will include a mix of:

- EV charging hubs in public car parks

- Smaller community EV charging 'microhubs' at community buildings such as village halls and community centres

- On-street (i.e. roadside/pavement) charging on residential streets where no other suitable off-street (i.e. car park based) hub options are available.

We also would like to increase the provision of car clubs (i.e. shared vehicles - ideally EV - that people can hire on an hourly or daily basis) in suitable locations across the county offering an alternative to traditional car ownership.

Please use this interactive map to tell us where you would like to see public EV chargers and car clubs around Oxfordshire

Note that this is solely to assess the level of demand for EV chargers and car clubs in different parts of Oxfordshire. It will be used to inform decision making and enable us to install EV charging and introduce car clubs where they will offer most benefit to residents.

Another possible solution for residents to charge their EVs at kerbside using their own home EV charger is the Gul-E cable channel. For more information and to register your interest visit www.gul-e.co.uk

Oxfordshire EV charger and car club demand tracker

over 1 year

This map shows the current locations in Oxfordshire of existing:

- Publicly available EV chargepoints - LIGHT BLUE dots

- Co-Charger locations (which are residents who are happy to share their own home EV chargers via the Co-Charger app) - ORANGE dots

- Car clubs (including EV car clubs) - GREY dots

- Previously suggested EV chargepoint locations - DARK BLUE dots

Please use the different coloured pins to tell us:

- Which car parks you think would make good EV charging hubs (this can be any type of car park, as long as open to the public)

- Where you would like to roadside/on-street chargers (i.e. on residential streets)

- Where you think car clubs or EV car clubs would be useful

To do this, click the + sign on the top left of the map page, choose the relevant pin type, and drag and drop on your chosen location

You can drop as many pins as you like, but please try to only make sensible suggestions where EV chargers and car clubs would genuinely be of benefit.  If someone has added a pin that you agree with, please add a second pin yourself to support their suggestion (as there is no 'like' or 'vote for' function in this tool unfortunately).

When you drop a pin, you are asked to leave any comments - it would be useful to know e.g. if you are an EV driver yourself, if you would use the chargers/car clubs personally or think they would be useful for others, if you use a car for your work (e.g. taxi drivers, carers, delivery drivers etc), if you are representing the views of yourself and others, or any other useful information that will help inform our decision making.
