Consultation has concluded
In March 2021, the Government published a new National Bus Strategy which sets out a framework for how bus services can recover from the Covid-19 pandemic and a vision for future improvements across England.
To meet this challenge, Oxfordshire County Council is working with the bus companies in our area to create a Bus Service Improvement Plan. This will involve developing bold plans for improving Oxfordshire’s bus services and encouraging more people to use them.
Government has pledged £3 billion in funding across the country to help deliver these plans, and Oxfordshire is aiming to secure as much as it can of that funding.
We are excited about the opportunity this presents and want to ensure that our Improvement Plan reflects the views of Oxfordshire residents and those visiting or working in the county. We now want to find out what you think would improve our bus services and what would make you use them more.
Let us know your views
To help us develop the plan we're keen to hear from people who already use buses and from those who currently don’t. We also want to hear from public, private and voluntary organisations who have an interest in making our bus services work better. Your views will help us shape our plan.
Alternative formats
We know that some people can’t or find it difficult to take part in online consultations or need things in a different format such as large print, easy read or a different language, etc, to have their say.
If you, or anyone you know needs a printed copy of the questionnaire, information in an alternative format please email engagementteam@oxfordshire.gov.uk or call the county council's Customer Services Team on 01865 792422. Please note the council's Customer Services Team are unable to answer any detailed questions about the project.
