This Consultation has now concluded.

Following the previous consultation on the 'Quickways' & 'Quietway' cycle routes (see here for details) which were approved on the 27th January at the Delegated Decisions meeting by the Cabinet Member for Highway Management (details here) - it was decided that the proposals for Warneford Lane had not been made clear on the public notice that was published in the press and also erected on site, as well as within the original ‘Statement of Reasons’ and draft Traffic Regulation Orders.

Therefore - in order to ensure we capture residents views on this specific aspect of the scheme - we are now asking for your views on the proposal to extend the ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) parking prohibition on both sides of Warneford Lane Road in Oxford. These proposals will be in place of the current unrestricted parking places and the two-hour parking places with permit holders exempt from time limit, thus removing all parking provision between the junctions with Morrell Avenue & Gypsy Lane.

note: A series of Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Quickway/Quietway routes the can be found here: FAQ

Please read the detailed information provided on this consultation, and take the time to complete the survey as your views and opinions matter. Your response should be completed and returned by Friday 11 March 2022.

Whilst we will endeavour to answer simple queries during the course of the consultation, any more complex questions/issues will be appraised and dealt with as part of consultation process.

What happens next?

The County Council will review the responses and if necessary (i.e. if objections are received) prepare a report to be presented to the Cabinet Member for Highway Management at a meeting scheduled for later in 2022. This will be public meeting at which members of the public may apply to speak. The agenda and reports for meetings will be made available on the Oxfordshire County Council web site about a week before the meeting (please note that occasionally it is necessary to defer reports to a later meeting, and it is therefore advisable to check the agenda ahead of attending a meeting).
