This consultation has now concluded.

We're asking for your views on the proposal to amend the eligibility of the various properties within Oxford Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits. The proposals are in accordance with parking policy, and are a result of the relevant planning permissions granted by Oxford City Council with associated conditions. The proposals are outlined in the table below:

Additionally, following issues raised by members of the public and the subsequent review of existing parking arrangements - amendments will be made to the following orders to enable additional properties to be eligible to apply for parking permits:

Finally, administrative amendments will be made to the following CPZ orders:

  • Cowley Central East- amendment for Permit eligibility is made to show that Nos.147-169 odd & 156-166 even Oxford Road are

    recorded

  • Headington West - to correctly identify the zonal designations for permits and parking as 'HA' and 'HB'.

Please read the detailed information provided on this consultation, and take the time to complete the survey as your views and opinions matter. Your response should be completed and returned by Friday 24 June 2022. Oxfordshire County Council will collate all correspondence and comments received in response to this consultation, and they may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

Whilst we will endeavour to answer simple queries during the course of the consultation, any more complex questions/issues will be appraised and dealt with as part of consultation process.

What happens next?

The County Council will review the responses and if necessary (i.e. if objections are received) prepare a report to be presented to the Cabinet Member for Highway Management at a meeting scheduled for later in 2022. This will be public meeting at which members of the public may apply to speak. The agenda and reports for meetings will be made available on the Oxfordshire County Council web site about a week before the meeting. Please note that occasionally it is necessary to defer reports to a later meeting, and it is therefore advisable to check the agenda ahead of attending a meeting, the Forward Plan of decisions meetings can be viewed here.
