This consultation has now concluded.

We're asking for your views on the proposal to amend the eligibility of the various properties within Oxford Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits. The proposals are in accordance with parking policy, and are a result of the relevant planning permissions granted by Oxford City Council with associated conditions. The proposals are outlined in the table below:

East Oxforda) limit Nos. 33-37 Stockmore Street to one resident's parking permit per property,
b) exclude the three new properties on land between Nos. 29 & 32 Temple Street from eligibility for resident's parking permits & residents' visitors parking permits,
c) exclude No. 14 Little Brewery Street from eligibility for resident's parking permits & residents' visitors parking permits.
Jericho
exclude No. 24B Albert Street from eligibility for resident's parking permits & residents' visitors' parking permits.
North Summertown
exclude No. 13 Davenant Road from eligibility for resident's parking permits (visitor permits allowed).
Headington West
exclude No. 9 Sandfield Road from eligibility for resident's parking permits & residents' visitors' parking permits.


Additionally, some administrative amendments will be made to the Headington West CPZ order as described below:

Proposal
the zonal designation identifiers for Zones A and B to become HA and HB,
the annual renewal of permits being the 12-month anniversary of the issue,
vehicle registration records are used to confirm resident`s address for eligibility for a permit,
correct the article number concerning reference to The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Electric Vehicle Parking Places) Order 2018

What happens next?

The County Council will review the responses and if necessary (i.e. if objections are received) prepare a report to be presented to the Cabinet Member for Highway Management at a meeting scheduled for later in 2023. This will be public meeting at which members of the public may apply to speak. The agenda and reports for meetings will be made available on the Oxfordshire County Council web site about a week before the meeting (please note that occasionally it is necessary to defer reports to a later meeting, and it is therefore advisable to check the agenda ahead of attending a meeting). The Forward Plan of decisions meetings can be viewed here.
