Why are we doing this?

Community Hubs have the potential to be the conduits for neighbourhood planning and access to services, reaching communities most in need through relationships and on the ground knowledge. They provide pathways to services, training, employment and a sense of belonging and agency for local people. Existing community hubs in Oxfordshire provide vital services; they have a vital role to play in reducing inequality, and ensuring communities play a central role in shaping their futures.

The Future Economy department at Oxfordshire County Council is currently developing work on Community Wealth Building and sees community hubs as an important part of this. Strengthening community hubs to collaborate and organise with the voluntary sector. To help us understand the picture across the county, we would ask you to fill in this short survey.
