We are writing to residents to gather feedback on potential parking measures in Cholsey, which are being considered in response to complaints and a petition to the Parish Council concerning parking from local residents living in the Station parking area.

Officers at the County Council have worked with the Chair of the Transport Committee, Parish Council and local County Councillor to bring forward an informal consultation about parking issues in the area, and aim to develop options for changes that will help address local concerns regarding non-resident parking, and helping make the roads safer and more accessible.

A list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and their answers can be found here.

Have your say.

Whilst we will endeavour to answer simple queries during the course of the consultation, any more complex questions/issues will be appraised and dealt with as part of consultation process.

As your views and opinions matter, your response should be completed and returned by 5pm on Friday 22nd May 2026.

What happens next?

In discussion with the relevant County Councillor(s), the feedback from the consultation will be reviewed after it closes, and if there is a consensus for parking measures to be taken forward, these will be subject to further 'formal' consultation with residents at a later date.
