This consultation has now concluded.

Oxfordshire County Council has made an order which will replicate the provisions for all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking places into a new ‘Map-based’ Order without changes to current on-street signage and road markings. Instead of the existing text schedules of parking restrictions, they will be replaced by maps divided into `tiles` or grids that graphically display all relevant details on the roads as well as references to order amendments as they occur.

The Council is moving towards `map based` traffic regulation orders which will have the benefit of being able to graphically display all parking provisions on map-based orders, which will become available for the public to view on the Council website. Enforcement officers will also have access to the maps and legends to more effectively undertake their responsibilities. This will also help inform plans towards the future introduction of civil enforcement. There will be a significant reduction in administration - previously requiring the preparation and dissemination of volumes of written paper schedules.

NOTE: to locate a restriction of interest, use the relevant Town plan from the "Location Plans Index" and take note of the Grid/Tile reference number. Then open the "Plans" document and navigate to the relevant page.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 9 August 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
