Consultation has concluded

Please contribute to our Ideas Boards:

We’re planning transport options for the next 30 years. As a young person living in Oxford City or travelling between the city and the towns of Kidlington, Eynsham, Botley, Cumnor, Kennington and Wheatley - what transport changes would you like to see in the future?

We’re consulting on an area travel plan for Central Oxfordshire.

The travel plan will be used to bid for funding for the transport projects in the area for the next 30 years. A summary of the plan is available in the downloads.

More information

The travel plan for Central Oxfordshire has been created as part of the Local Transport Connectivity Plan for the entire county.

The LTCP includes ambitious targets such as reducing:

  • 1 in 4 car trips by 2030
  • delivering a net-zero transport network by 2040 and
  • having zero, or as close as possible, road fatalities or life-changing injuries by 2050.

In Central Oxfordshire we need to look at options that free up the limited road space in the city to create a place where buses are fast, affordable and reliable.

A place where people can walk and cycle, in pleasant and safe environments and where people have transport choices so that taking the car isn't the only option for getting from A to B.
