A4074 corridor plan
Consultation has concluded
The A4074 corridor plan is being developed as part of the countywide Local Transport and Connectivity Plan (LTCP).
The LTCP sets a clear vision to deliver a net-zero transport system that enables Oxfordshire to thrive, protects the environment and makes the county a better place to live for all residents.
It covers all aspects of travel from private car journeys, cycling, freight, bus, and rail journeys and includes ambitious targets such as:
- reducing 1 in 4 car trips by 2030
- delivering a net-zero transport network by 2040 and
- having zero, or as close as possible, road fatalities or life-changing injuries by 2050.
To achieve this, we are now developing transport plans for major road corridors across Oxfordshire, including the A4074.
The corridor plans will form part of series of documents to be used to bid for relevant funding to deliver transport projects between now and 2050 that support the vision and targets of the LTCP.
A4074 stakeholder workshops
Oxfordshire County Council held a series of stakeholder workshops in December to gather early feedback before we start to draft the A4074 corridor plan.
We are gathering initial feedback from parish and district councils, business, accessibility and transport groups to understand their views of the transport needs along the A4074 for the next 30 years.
Following these sessions, we’ve provided this space for workshop participants to add further ideas and feedback as we begin drafting the area travel plan for the A4074 corridor plan ahead of a future public consultation.
