This consultation has now concluded.

Following on from the previous consultation on proposed parking restrictions within Woodstock (click here for details), we're now asking for your views on the proposals to allow for the issue of parking permits to hotels and guest houses within Woodstock town centre, in order for their paying customers only to use in the proposed on-street permit parking places. The proposed allocation for each Hotel and/or Guest House is as follows:

Rooms (less the number of off-street parking spaces)
Maximum annual allocation
1-4500
5-91000
10-141500
15-192000
20-242500
25 plus3000

The charge for each 24-hour hotel visitor permit is £10 (which will be subject to periodic review).

A further amendment includes the provision of Paid parking bays on Park Lane, adjacent to No’s 7-11 and No.12. Charges will apply to mirror the previously approved scheme for Woodstock:

  • 1 hour free,
  • 2 hours - £1.00,
  • 3 hours - £2.00,
  • 4 hours - £5.00.

Have your say.

Please read the detailed information provided on this consultation and take the time to complete the survey as your views and opinions matter. Your response should be completed and returned by Friday 09 December 2022.

Whilst we will endeavor to answer simple queries during the course of the consultation, any more complex questions/issues will be appraised and dealt with as part of consultation process.

What happens next?

The County Council will review the responses and if necessary (i.e. if objections are received) prepare a report to be presented to the Cabinet Member for Highway Management at a meeting scheduled for later in 2022. This will be public meeting at which members of the public may apply to speak. The agenda and reports for meetings will be made available on the Oxfordshire County Council web site about a week before the meeting. Please note that occasionally it is necessary to defer reports to a later meeting, and it is therefore advisable to check the agenda ahead of attending a meeting, the Forward Plan of decisions meetings can be viewed here.
