Focus groups have now concluded.
Are you secondary school age and able to join an in-person session where you can meet other young people?
Want to hear more about the different services the county council funds, and the challenges we face when deciding on our spending?
Want to have a go at balancing the council's budget using our online simulator, and tell us why you made the choices you did?
Fancy eating pizza and receiving £20 as a thank you for taking part?!
If yes... read on!
We are running another session for young people to try our budget simulator, as we want to give even more young people the chance to find out about the range of services we provide. We all use council services every day, and we want to know which services are most important to you and the services you think we should spend money on. You can tell us by using our online budget simulator.
By using our online budget simulator, you can have a go at trying to set the council’s budget for 2025/26. You will need to weigh up tough choices and understand the effects of your decisions, in order to balance the budget. (For this challenge, it's important to know that the total amount of money the council spends must be equal to, or less than, the money it receives.)
What you think is important, and we want to hear about what matters to you the most.
The young people's session will take place incentral Oxford on Friday 19 July, from 5.30pm - 8.00pm.
The session will be run by council staff (who are DBS checked). Pizza, other snacks and refreshments will be provided.
How do I sign up?
To register your interest in taking part, click the COMPLETE FORM button below and submit your form by: midday on Wednesday 17 July. If you are under 16 years of age, your parent/carer needs to complete the form for you.
Places are limited, so register your interest now! Signing up does not guarantee you a place at the session, and we will be in touch from Monday 15 July to confirm if you have a place. You can email consultations@oxfordshire.gov.uk if you have any questions.
