This survey is for parents and carers of children and young people between 0 to 25 years old with emerging or identified special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). This includes diagnosed and non-diagnosed SEND.

Welcome

The Oxfordshire SEND local area partnership, which includes Oxfordshire County Council, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire Integrated Care Board and Oxfordshire Parent Carers Forum (OxPCF) is working to improve SEND experiences for everyone in Oxfordshire. Your views are important to us and will help us to continue to develop and improve education, health and care services and provision for all children and young people with SEND in Oxfordshire.

How do I complete this survey?

You can fill in this survey online or in paper format. It should take around 20 minutes to complete.

If you have more than one child with emerging or identified SEND you will need to complete a separate survey for each child.

The survey is open for six weeks and the last date we can receive your response is 12 July 2024.

You may wish to register with Let’s Talk Oxfordshire (this consultation and engagement platform) so that your responses are saved, and you can come back and carry on. Don’t worry - any personal information you submit to register with the platform will be separated from your survey response.

Next steps

The Oxfordshire SEND local area partnership will publish key survey findings and an initial response to these within 2 months of the survey closing. This will be in 'You Said, We Did' format and will be shared on our SEND Improvement webpage and via OxPCF.

Within a further 2 months, the Oxfordshire SEND local area partnership will publish an updated improvement plan that will take account of the views shared. They will repeat the survey again within 12 months to evaluate how experiences are changing and where further focus is required.
