Consultation on School Admission Arrangements 2027/28
The consultation process takes place from 1 November 2025 to 31 January 2026 on admission arrangements for state-funded schools in Oxfordshire for the 2027/28 academic year.
Oxfordshire County Council consults every year on admission arrangements for schools where it is the Admissions Authority.
All state-funded schools have a set of admissions rules, published admission number and oversubscription criteria to help them process school applications consistently, transparently and fairly in accordance with the 2021 School Admissions Code.
Academy Trusts are their own Admission Authority for their schools; and while they don’t have to consult every year, they must consult where they want to make changes to their admission arrangements or where seven years have passed without any changes being made or proposed.
Any consultations on admission arrangements for the 2027/28 academic year must take place for a period of 6 weeks between 1 November 2025 and 31 January 2026.
Admissions Authorities must display their current and proposed admissions arrangements on their websites and also provide a copy of their proposed 2027/28 arrangements for display on this page.
Some Admissions Authorities will not need to consult on changes to their admissions arrangements for the 2027/28 academic year; but all schools, regardless of who their Admission Authority is, must have their determined admissions rules for 2027/28 published and available on their websites by March 2026.
Documents received from academy trusts will be displayed on this page as and when they are received.
