This consultation has now concluded.
We're asking for your views on the proposal to amend the eligibility of various properties within Oxford Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits. The proposals are in accordance with parking policy, and are a result of the relevant planning permissions granted by Oxford City Council with associated conditions, and internal review of current eligibility when requested. The proposals are outlined in the table below:

Allow Nos.1-17 West View to apply for resident's parking permits and residents' visitors' parking permits,
Allow all properties in Abberbury Avenue, Annora Close, Cordrey Green, and Fitzherbert Close for eligibility to apply for resident's parking permits and residents' visitors' parking permits.
Additionally, the following administrative amendments will be made as a result of inconsistencies being identified within the relevant Traffic Regulation Orders:

clarify that property No.4 Lime Walk is eligible to apply for resident's parking permits and residents' visitors' parking permits, with Nos.4a-4h being excluded from applying for both,
clarify that property No.56 Old High Street is eligible to apply for resident's parking permits and residents' visitors' parking permits, with No.58 Old High Street only eligible to apply for residents' visitors' parking permits.
Headington West
amend the description of an existing ‘Permit holders only’ parking bay on the east side of Franklin Road to ensure it matches the bay as currently marked on-the-ground (i.e. no change to on road markings).
South Oxford Extension
re-include the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) at the end of Canning Crescent, adjacent to St. Lukes Church into the order to ensure it matches the lining currently on the ground (i.e. no change to existing markings)/
Waterways
clarify that property Nos.41-141 (odd) and Nos.44-126 (even) Frenchay Road are eligible to apply for residents parking permits and residents' visitors parking permits.

The County Council will review the responses and if necessary (i.e. if objections are received) prepare a report to be presented to the Cabinet Member for Highway Management at a meeting scheduled for later in 2025. This will be public meeting at which members of the public may apply to speak. The agenda and reports for meetings will be made available on the Oxfordshire County Council web site about a week before the meeting (please note that occasionally it is necessary to defer reports to a later meeting, and it is therefore advisable to check the agenda ahead of attending a meeting).
