Oxford: Florence Park CPZ - parking restrictions informal consultation
** PLEASE NOTE - this consultation is for the Florence Park CPZ and the restrictions within this specific zone **
Oxfordshire County Council has a two-year program to review some of the existing Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) across the City. Historically, changes to parking restrictions within these zones have been made in a piecemeal fashion, either through development-funded alterations or transport projects that only affect parts of a CPZ (e.g., LTNs).
To ensure these zones remain effective and continue to benefit local communities, it is crucial to periodically review them, taking into account changes in user demand, emerging transport policies, and the broader impacts of development within the area.
Following a prioritization exercise, the County Council presented a proposal to Oxford City Council to secure the release of Community Infrastructure Funding (CIL) for reviews of 7 existing CPZs within the Oxford City Boundary.
At the Oxford City cabinet meeting on 11th December 2024, a decision was made to approve the release of CIL funding to process the reviews and associated works for the following zones: East Oxford, Headington Central, Summertown, Temple Cowley, Headington West, Florence Park and Cutteslowe.
Have your say.
The County Council is seeking the views of all residents and businesses within the Florence Park CPZ area, therefore please take the time to complete the survey as your views and opinions matter. Your response should be completed and returned by 5pm on Friday 24th July 2026.
Whilst we will endeavour to answer simple queries during the course of the consultation, any more complex questions/issues will be appraised and dealt with as part of consultation process.
What happens next?
It is anticipated that the feedback from the survey will be presented to elected members in September, where if required, detailed proposals will be developed for further statutory consultation/advertisement later in the year.
