Oxfordshire County Council has made 'The Oxfordshire County Council (Cumnor Hill Embankment) Compulsory Purchase Order 2025' under Sections 239, 240, 246, 247, 250 and 260 of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) and Parts II and III of Schedule 2, and Schedule 3 to the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.

It is about to submit this Order to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, and if confirmed, the Order will authorise Oxfordshire County Council to purchase compulsorily the land (i.e. The Embankment adjoining Cumnor Hill, West Oxford, Oxfordshire and is shown coloured blue on the associated Order Map) and the new rights for the purposes of undertaking soil nailing and associated stabilisation works to the embankment and dedicating as public highway.
