Freight and movement of goods

In support of the Local Transport and Connectivity Plan (LTCP) we have published a separate Freight and Logistics Strategy. The strategy addresses some of the challenges associated with the movement of goods in Oxfordshire and sets out the actions required to deliver appropriate, efficient, clean and safe movement. 

Some of the key actions we propose are summarised below. We would value your thoughts on these ideas, or any other suggestions you have for how we can improve the movement of goods in Oxfordshire. 

• Develop and promote an appropriate HGV route map
• Promote the use of rail freight
• Promote cycle freight
• Explore freight consolidation
