Drowning in the UK is amongst the leading causes of accidental death. Do you know what to do if you, or someone else, gets into trouble in open water?
Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service would like to find out the level of understanding around water safety that our residents currently have, and how that may change from our intervention activities.
Below is a link to our survey which you are invited to complete. Please answer the questions honestly as you can.
There will then be three short videos to watch which are included within the survey, after the first set questions – each with a different theme.
Video 1: Water safety: Hazards Video 2: Water safety: What do I do if I fall in? Video 3: Water safety: What to do if someone else has fallen in?
Once you have watched the videos, please answer the questions again, to see if your knowledge has changed.
Please fill in our online survey by clicking the ‘TAKE SURVEY’ button below.
Findings from the survey will be used to gauge whether our messages are effective and may highlight areas where we need to enhance our safety messaging.
