Free period products for anyone who needs them
Free period products (both reusable and disposable) are available for all Oxfordshire residents in a trial to help achieve period equality for all, as everyone deserves the essentials they need.
Oxfordshire County Council has partnered with Hey Girls, a UK period product social enterprise, to provide reusable cups, and organic and sustainable pads and tampons for anyone who needs them. Everyone deserves to have the essentials they need, and having access to period products is important for people's mental and physical health, wellbeing and future.
Take what you need for yourself, a friend or family - no questions asked.
Full packs of organic, sustainable pads and tampons are available at all locations (18 libraries and 8 Children’s and Family Centres) and reusable pads and cups are available at Banbury and Oxford Westgate libraries.
Single pads and tampons will also be available for county council staff in larger buildings.
So we can better understand period product provision for Oxfordshire and work towards a proposal for long-term provision to alleviate period poverty, we would like your anonymous feedback on the products.
Please complete our short online questionnaire below to give us feedback on your experience of our period product trial and if it helps, as well as what the scheme should look like going forward.
