Welcome to the engagement page for Eynsham and the surrounding area Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).
We want to improve the quality and safety of walking and cycling provision in Eynsham and connections with the surrounding area including: Begbroke, Botley, Cassington, Farmoor, Freeland, Hanborough, South Leigh, Stanton Harcourt, Swinford, and Yarnton. We are drafting a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) to help us achieve this.
Walking and cycling for journeys can help us stay healthy, increase happiness and enable us to reconnect with nature.
What is a LCWIP?
A LCWIP is a plan that identifies walking and cycling routes for local journeys e.g. to school, work and the shops now and in the future and suggests improvements to these routes to support more people to walk and cycle. We will then seek funding to deliver these improvements.
We would like to hear from you about issues with the existing walking and cycling provision in Eynsham and the surrounding area and suggestions for how this can be improved.
Using the online map found on this page, you can drop pins at any location in the defined area and write comments.
Next steps
The engagement will close for comments on Tuesday 24 June 2025 at 23:59.
The LCWIP will be informed by comments from this engagement and further public engagement will take place on the plan at a later date.
