Consultation has concluded
Welcome to the registration page for the Didcot Science Bridge online information session.
VolkerFitzpatrick has been appointed by Oxfordshire County Council as the principal contractor to deliver the Didcot Science Bridge, as part of the wider Didcot and surrounding areas major infrastructure scheme (HIF1). The scheme aims to:
Reduce congestion and improve air quality in local villages and parishes.
Improve journey times across the area.
Enhance pedestrian and cycling connections.
Enable additional job creation at new and existing employment sites and support planned housing growth across South Oxfordshire.
The team has made great progress with the enabling works, including site clearance, establishment of site compounds and offices and ongoing archaeology investigations and statutory utility diversions. As we progress towards main construction on the Didcot Science Bridge, the focus of activities will now include bulk earthworks, the installation of highways drainage and support structures for the main bridge over the railway line.
Online information session
We recognise that residents of Valley Park are among the closest to the work on the A4130, and as such we would like to invite you to join us for an online information session. This will take place on Thursday 6 August, 6pm – 7pm.
What you can expect
This information session will be held online, via Microsoft Teams. We will provide information on our plans for the construction phases and what you can expect as a local resident. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions of our project team.
How can I take part?
If you would like to attend the online information session, please complete the short registration form below. The closing date for registration is 5pm on Friday 31 July 2026.
Once you have registered, we will contact you to confirm your attendance and provide further details about attending.
