Draft Oxfordshire Councils Charter
The consultation has concluded. We will incorporate your feedback to finalise the Charter, which will be ratified through the County and District councils in March 2024. Once the Charter is ratified, we will develop an implementation plan to embed the principles and commitments of the Charter. Your council will also be invited to be a signatory to the Charter.
Oxfordshire County Council has worked in partnership with the Oxfordshire Association of Local Councils, District and City Councils, and Town and Parish Councils and Parish Meetings to develop the draft Oxfordshire Councils Charter.
The draft charter is based on the feedback shared at the Oxfordshire Councils' Summit in October 2023 and in the survey run from then to December 2023.
We want to hear whether you think the draft charter reflects the needs of Oxfordshire councils.
The draft charter outlines the:
- strategic aims
- shared principles
- shared commitments.
Councillors and Clerks are welcome to respond individually or on behalf of your council/meeting. You can view a copy of the consultation questions by downloading the questionnaire from the 'Documents' section on the right-hand side of this page.
