Care homes - focus group invitation

Thank you for your interest in attending one of the focus groups.

We know that the care that your loved one receives in their care home is important to you and your family.

We’d like to invite you to share your thoughts and views about your experiences of the care your loved one receives.

There are a set of care home standards that all homes have signed up to. We’d like to explore with you if these standards are right or need updating.

Who can attend?

If you have a loved one living in a care home and you have a good understanding of their needs and life at the home then this is for you. We expect no more than 2 people from a family/friend to attend. Booking is essential.

Dates

There are 2 dates for you to choose from:

In person

Thursday 25 May, starting at 10:30 am - 12 pm

Venue - Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1ND

Virtual (using MS Teams)

Tuesday 8 June, starting at 1 pm - 2:30 pm (a link will be sent to you the day before the meeting, please remember to check your junk mail for this email)

If you can not make either of these dates you can complete an online questionnaire.

Expenses

To thank you for your time, participants attending the meeting can claim for time at a rate of £10 an hour, along with reasonable travel expenses. A link will be emailed to you after the meeting for you to make the claim.

Booking

Once you have completed the online booking form you will receive confirmation of your booking. If you book to attend the virtual meeting the link for this will be sent nearer to the time. Booking closes the day before the meeting.
