This internal survey aims to gather feedback from county council staff on our draft Biodiversity Action Framework and Biodiversity Action Plan through an internal consultation, prior to taking them through council approval processes.
The draft Biodiversity Action Framework includes:
- principles which are integral to the approach the county council will take in achieving its vision and objectives
- vision which sets out what we are seeking to accomplish through the Biodiversity Action Framework
- objectives which sets out what we need to accomplish to move towards the vision
- policies which set out specific quantifiable statements of how we will achieve our objectives (some objectives have multiple policies)
The draft Biodiversity Action Plan includes:
- 30 headline performance indicators which identify aspects of delivery against biodiversity action so that we can monitor and identify trends from year to year
- 43 actions applicable across council services, set out in tabular form, organised by the objectives and policies they will deliver against
